My goal is to participate in empowering women wherever I go.
I am a proud board member of Ascend where I am a Master Instructor and a board member. I am also head of the Norwegian wing of Ascend.
I am running tailor schools and women empowerment groups in South Sudan.
I also work very close with Local Womens Handicraft and enable reusable sanitary pads projects in Nepal.

Ascend
Leadership through athletics

Ascend’s mission is to empower girls through mountaineering-based leadership training and community service in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Ascend runs a holistic leadership development program based on sport and civic engagement. We focus on serving in places where women and girls have limited or no access to such opportunities. Each year, we enroll a new team of girls aged 15-24 to embark on our challenging program to become the next generation of leaders.

Local Womens Handicraft

Local Women’s Handicrafts mission is to provide opportunities, skills, and a sense of independence for female artisans.
We empower by educateing and provideing a safe space for women who have escaped abusive practices in the textile industry, and other hardships in their local communities. We believe a living wage is necessary to protect artisans and their creativity. Through creating fashion in a responsible way, our goal is to end forced labor and modern slavery.
Our goal is to support all artisans and create a textile industry that honors sustainability, human rights and dignity.

Reusable Sanitary Pads

Our goal is to reduse the number of girls dropping school when they start menstruating. By delivering out reusable sanitary pads, together with education about hygene and the menstration cirkle, we aim to reduse the number of girls dropping out of school and higher education.
