Elbrus

We used one day exploring Moscow before heading south and meeting the team. After one day repacking and an acclimatization trip we headed up to our Base Camp at 3800m. There we camped in the barrels which appeared as a luxury hotel for me. We used the two next days for acclimatization and self-arrest training. Then early in the morning we started our climb up to the east summit of Elbrus. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed an amazing sunrise and we managed to reach the summit (5642m) right before the weather closed in on the top and we had to head down in a whiteout.
