Mt Blanc
Come with me to the top of Mt Blanc 2011. Enjoy the pictures below.
We used one day in Chamonix to plan and pack for our climb. We carried with us all we needed to camp outside and enjoy the mountain for a couple of days extra. First day we started with a easy hike up to Tete Rousse refuge. From there we crossed the Grand Couloir (with often rock falls) and continued to climb up to Gouter hut where we established our camp. The day after we enjoyed life in the sleeping bag while listening to climbers starting already at 3am. We started our climb at 9am, enjoyed the whole day climbing in daylight crossing glaciated terrain and climbing up the amazing Bosses ridge to the summit (4810m) where we enjoyed an amazing view! We then had no hurry climbing down as we had decided to spend the night in our tent in the camp above Gouter hut. After a stormy night we had a good climb down to Chamonix.
